Epic game

I read all the reviews before playing, expecting that it would be difficult to see or the controls would be shitty, but I loved it! I liked the scale and scope of the screen; I really felt like by being able to see more of the level I could plan my movements better to avoid being pinned. I liked that there weren't a ton of elements that would impede your movement (you can walk right through zombies you've killed), too. I thought the number of weapons and cost to upgrade were pretty reasonable, I did have to grind a bit to reach some of the achievements, but that was more a consequence of my poor planning (waiting to get pistol kills until I'd already replayed the earlier levels a bunch) than anything.

I have no real criticisms for the game, for future installments I would recommend a little move achievement variety than "X kills with Y weapon", such as "kill 20 zombies with 1 exploding car". Loved this game.

Awesome game

This is one of those games that may seem a little frustrating to some early on, but the more you play the more you 'get it'. I thought the game was really unique, and I enjoyed that in most cases there was more than one way to accomplish your goal. The variety of playable beasts was enjoyable, there are plenty of stages to complete. The music was a little grating, especially if you are attempting the same level many times to get an A, but I've got a 3 yr old and usually have the sound off as to not wake him anyway. I would recommend this game to others, and look forward to more submissions by this author.

Your response to the review about a 'monsterpedia' and probability:

A monsterpedia isn't possible because the weaknesses and resistances change every game. However, the point of the info at the end of the level is so that you can develop a strategy. It's all about statistics; if the monster was weak to a tower, it's unlikely that it will be weak to it consecutively. A tower being strong has a 1/3 chance, but that same tower being strong twice in a row is much less than that.

Unless you're saying you programmed the game to take into account a previous rounds strength and weaknesses, the chance of any given outcome should remain the same. That's like saying if you flipped a coin and it came up heads, than it would no longer be a 50/50 shot if you flipped it again. This is Statistics 101. Which means there's no compelling reason to list which tower was strong or weak, since that info won't carry over to other games. Which means this game is not skill-based, but sheer luck.

Not trying to be a hater; I really liked the concept and I enjoyed playing. But the only strategy involved is grinding until you win.

Rabid-Animals responds:

You misunderstand the statistical analysis. One must consider that the probability of a coin coming up heads twice in a row is not 50/50; each discrete flip is 50/50. Sure, some luck is involved, but if you really think about it, there's a way to hedge your bets a little. Another reason that we listed which tower had what reaction was just because it's kind of neat to know. Thanks for the review.

Cannot find the easter egg!

My hair is turning white from looking for the f@#king easter egg! Have all the others, someone please PM me as to its location. I thought it was at the preloader but I can't find anything to click to save my life. My wife couldn't find it either.

Enjoyed the game, though.

Secret medal won't unlock for me

Have all other medals except next to last secret medal (defeat a certain lvl 20 enemy), which I have done but medal will not unlock. Love the game otherwise.

Level 3 medal won't unlock

beat the game, have all other medals, inexplicably missing level 3 medal. can i has medal?

Very good tower defense game

I'm usually not one for TD games but I've had good luck with THE-EXPs games before so I gave it a shot. I liked the oil as currency dynamic, all the upgrades, and the 'pieces of eight' achievements. The on-screen tutorial was helpful when getting started. I liked being informed of new enemies about to spawn, but didn't like being told what their weaknesses were, that should be kept as part of the gameplay element. Other than that a solid TD game.

Terrific Zombie Strategy game

The graphics were top-notch, the gameplay was addicting, and there were so many things to do! I love zombie games (working on my own zombie comic) and as much as I like zom shooter games, this was a breath of fresh air to play instead. I actually found myself more concerned about succeeding at the game than I did trying to achieve medal, which in itself is quite the accomplishment! I'll even go play the original based on my positive experience with this game.

The dopest dope you've ever smoked!!
